There is no airport on the island so unless you’ve got your own helicopter we recommend you get to Ios by ferry. There are daily boats from the two ports of Athens to Ios.
There are neighbouring islands that do have international airports – Santorini & Mykonos. So depending on where you are coming from there may be an option to make it reasonably close by air and take a quick ferry-ride the rest of the way.
There is a travel agent at your disposal for booking ferry tickets. Prices of ferries are the same everywhere, but here you will get good customer service and someone who speaks english!
